We’re seeking an experienced Inventory Planning Analyst to join our team at Hastings Deering’s Head Office in Archerfield, Brisbane.
This is a permanent, full-time role, offering the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes in a complex, high‑impact environment.
As a key member of the Inventory Management team, you’ll deliver clear, data‑driven insights to optimise inventory performance across the business.
You’ll support the transition from current to future inventory states and lead the execution of parts inventory plans using forecasting, material planning, and order fulfilment strategies—ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance targets.
What you’ll be doing
As an Inventory Planning Analyst at Hastings Deering, you will:
- Develop and execute inventory plans that balance availability, cost, and service performance
- Apply forecasting and demand planning techniques to support effective material planning
- Deliver actionable analytics and insights to inform inventory decisions and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to support inventory transition initiatives
- Communicating effectively across a ride range of stakeholders
- Monitor inventory performance against KPIs and support governance and optimisation activities
What you’ll need
A successful teammate will bring:
- A strong foundation in inventory, supply chain, or logistics, supported by tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- At least five years’ experience in inventory planning and modelling within a complex, diversified organisation
- Proven expertise in inventory systems and distribution logistics, ideally within a Caterpillar-aligned environment
- Advanced analytical capability, experience in project and change management, and hands‑on expertise with ERP/MRP platforms
- Strong communication skills
